Terms of Service

1. Accounts

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to register, access or use RelayArt. The service is intended only for adults and does not provide accounts or restricted modes for anyone under 18.

Account security

Keep your sign-in email, password and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account; contact support if something looks wrong.

Account deletion

You may delete your account in-app at any time. You are signed out immediately and cannot sign in again.

Enforcement

Accounts breaching these terms or the guidelines may face reduced reach, content removal, feature limits, suspension or a ban, following the enforcement ladder.

2. Co-creation

Ownership of parts

Each participant keeps copyright in their own original part. Participating in a relay does not transfer ownership.

Non-exclusive licence

You grant the platform a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to operate, moderate, display, share and technically process your content. It does not stop you from using or licensing your own work.

Combined display

You agree your part is displayed together with other parts of the same relay, including in its branches.

Permanent credit

Every work and branch permanently shows each part's author and position. Credits cannot be removed by other participants.

3. Sparks (virtual currency)

How to obtain

Sparks can only be obtained through Apple App Store in-app purchase. There is no other channel.

Restrictions

Sparks cannot be cashed out, transferred or exchanged for money or property. They are tied to your account and do not represent creator revenue.

What they are for

Currently used to create a branch (and gain the right to write its first part) and to start theme challenges. A theme challenge costs only its creator 60 Sparks; participants claim and create for free. Any change of purpose is announced in-app in advance.

Refunds

If review fails or the branch is not created, spent Sparks are refunded automatically with a refund record. Refunds of the App Store order itself follow Apple's policy.

4. Non-commercial scope

Version 1.0 offers no sale, commercial licensing, advertising use or revenue sharing for co-created works. The platform does not use co-created works in commercial advertising.

5. Violations and disputes

Content actions

Content breaching a prohibited category is rejected or taken down. Merged parts are removed only through the infringement, privacy or violation process.

Appeals

You may appeal within the appeal window. Appeals go to a separate review process kept apart from the original decision.

Repeat infringement

Repeat infringers are escalated along the enforcement ladder, up to a permanent ban.

Updates

Updates are announced in-app. Material updates require you to consent again; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
